IRELAND
3/30 – 4/3
My weekend in Dublin was one for the books. It was filled with pints of Guiness, jamming to Ed Sheeran’s Galway Girl, and cavorting through lush, green fields. Dublin is such a neat city because you’re instantly transported into the culture as soon as you step off the plane. Everything feels so authentic, charming, and just totally Irish!
I spent the first half of the weekend exploring the city with my friend, Brendan! You may remember him from my Paris Fashion Week blog post. One of our favorite activities in Dublin was definitely the Viking Splash Tour! It’s basically a guided tour in an open-air vehicle that turns into a boat to continue the tour on the water! It was a great way to see the city, plus you get to wear Viking hats and yell “ARGH!” at passing tourists. It’s great craic as the Irish say!
My boyfriend, Mark, met me for the second half of the long weekend and we immediately set-off for the Cliffs of Moher! If I had to choose one word to describe the cliffs, it would be staggering. They’re so grand and really are a must-see! The day trip also included some other sights, like an old church and a wishing well that are around the Irish coast. The views alone were incredbile, but this day was also extra special day because it was Mark’s 21st birthday!
While walking around the Cliffs of Moher, a couple asked Mark if he could take a few pictures for them. When I looked at the guy, I saw something nervous, yet excitedin his eyes and I knew something crazy was about to happen. I grabbed my camera, started snapping, and then all of a sudden, he got down on one knee and proposed!!! It was so exciting! She said yes and they kissed and hugged and snuggled into each other to keep the blustery winds from blowing them away. They are the sweetest couple ever from Croatia and I’m so happy that I was there to capture that moment for them!
Favorite restaurants: O’Neill, The Bakehouse, Murphy’s Ice Cream (try the sea salt flavor!), Brother Hubbard, Leo Burdock, The Rolling Donut
Favorite activites: Cliffs of Moher trip through Irish Day Tours, Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, The Guiness Storehouse
A few iPhone pictures to add to the memories…

I feel so lucky to have been able to visit this beautiful country. I’ll be back someday Ireland!
