Maybe it has something to do with the coffee I just chugged or the fact that “Country Girl” by Luke Bryan just came on my shuffle, but I am SO dang excited to share Katie & Brian’s wedding today! Get ready, because this countryside winter wedding was one for the books!
The morning of February 9th was brisk yet abundantly sunny. Katie and her bridesmaids took their time preparing for the big day, while sipping on mimosas and humming along to the tracks playing through the speakers…
Meanwhile, the guys were also getting pumped up for the big day!
The bride looked like a dreeeeam. Katie’s lace gown was totally made for her!
One of my favorite moments from the morning was when Katie surprised her mom with a gift from their dress shopping trip!
If that sweet mother/daughter moment didn’t already get your eyes swelling, I would pause and go grab a tissue now because you’re about to witness the cutest first look ever!
How stunning are Katie & Brian!? Literally the most beautiful couple and as sweet as can be. We shot their wedding day portraits in the gorgeous Hamstra Garden, where the rest of the wedding party joined us. I’m obsessed with the girls’ wine colored gowns with black and white flannel shawls for extra warmth. The guys also cleaned up nicely in their Wrangler gear paired with leather boots, of course!
Katie & Brian tied the knot at their home church with a tear-filled ceremony. There was not a dry eye in the room!
After their heartfelt ceremony, the newlyweds celebrated at what I’ve referred to as “the party barn I never knew I needed.” Seriously, it was so much fun! String lights added a romantic vibe while vintage neon signs decked out the bar area. The hot cocoa bar and nacho cheese fountain were definitely fan favorites throughout the night. Rustic details, like pine needles, burlap, and wood accents pulled everything together for the perfect country wedding.
There are really no words for how magic these two are together. LOVE LOVE LOVE <3
Katie & Brian, it has been such an honor for me to document these special moments! You two radiate the most beautiful love for each other and spread joy to everyone around you. I know you’re going to have the most wonderful life together and I hope you’re always able to look back at these photos and remember exactly how you felt on your wedding day.
