During their colorful fall engagement session in Holcomb Gardens, it was so apparent just HOW in love these two are. Throughout the shoot, Eric kept saying things like “I love the pictures where Kristen is laughing! Those are my favorite!” In all of the photos, it’s so easy to see all the love and admiration Eric has for Kristen, and vice-versa.Read More
This was SUCH a special engagement session for me. First off, a little backstory. When I was about 15 years old, one of my friends from dance class asked me if I would take her senior pictures. I knew NOTHING technically about photography — I just enjoyed taking pictures for fun in my free time! It sounded like a whole lot of fun, so we picked a date and I showed up with my little Olympus mirrorless camera…Read More
I'm so thrilled to be sharing Megan & Nathan's autumn engagement session on the blog today! We had the most gorgeous weather for their shoot and the fall leaves really captured how Megan & Nathan have fallen in love with each other ;) These two are so fun together; they were constantly making each other laugh in between all the cuddles.Read More
I cannot handle these two! Mariah & Caleb are a match made in heaven and I had a BLAST capturing the engaged chapter of their love story! Their love for each other is so vibrant, joyful, and caring. Every time Caleb kissed Mariah, and every time Mariah snuggled up to Caleb, my heart melted. It's safe to say I could not be more excited to capture their rustic, October wedding day!
We decided to shoot their fall engagement session at the Indianapolis Museum of Art because it's a special place for Mariah & Caleb. When they were dating, they would often walk the trails of the Hundred Acre Woods and just spend quality time together! So their entire engagement session felt like a date (that I got to tag along for!)Read More
It's not very often that one gets to capture two weddings of two sisters in ONE YEAR! This past June, I captured Melissa's gorgeous rustic wedding, where I met her maid of honor and younger sister, Meghan, who was also getting married that year! We hit it off and shortly after the wedding, I became Meghan's wedding photographer as well! It was so fun to see their parents again, and meet Melissa's adorable little baby, Brody! To make this story even better, Melissa and Meghan both married men with "C" names -- Corey and Colin! This family has had a very exciting year and it was such a joy getting to know them and capture these milestones for them!Read More
The groom sees his beautiful bride walking down the aisle and can't contain his emotions. The maid of honor gives her speech about watching her best friend fall in love with the man of her dreams. The bride and her father share their first dance and all of those childhood memories come flooding back. These are some of the moments of a wedding day that are such a joy to capture. See, I'm a complete romantic and as soon as I see someone tearing up during these moments, I'll start to lose it right along with them. As a wedding photographer, it's important to suck it up and keep shooting, but seeing those happy tears is just another reminder of how special my job is. Having the privilege of capturing the little pieces that make up a love story is an honor that will never get old.Read More
Meet Emma! She's a senior at Central Catholic High School and was a player for her school's soccer team (who made it to semi-state by the way -- so awesome!) For her senior session, we had a gorgeous fall day with the most amazing light at sundown. Occasionally, there was a gust of wind, but Emma has STUNNING long hair that blew with the breeze and just totally worked for the shot! Basically she's Pocahontas :)Read More
